People often ask how we met. The truth? We each remember it a little differently, but somehow, a blow dryer always makes its way into the story. There was no grand introduction—just a friendship that quietly began somewhere around 2004 (we think!) and grew stronger over time, shaped by both life’s joys and its challenges.
We had our kids around the same time, running on coffee and little sleep, swapping stories about motherhood, careers, and whether our babies would ever sleep through the night. Eventually, we both moved our families to rural East Parker, where being neighbors meant late-night ATV rides between our properties and countless bonfires under the stars. Life, however, had other plans. A job change led to a move, and though Kristin stayed in East Parker while Shaina relocated closer to work, distance never changed a thing. We’ve always done life together, no matter where we are.
For decades, we each built our own careers—Shaina in the fine jewelry industry, Kristin in business and design. We always dreamed of working together, but the perfect idea never quite surfaced. That is, until we realized a shared frustration: our belt loops were bare. We could never find a belt that embodied both Western heritage and true luxury.
With deep roots in the American West and a love for high fashion, we founded HITCH—a luxury belt buckle and lifestyle brand designed to Elevate Your Legacy. More than a brand, it’s the perfect fusion of our passions, our strengths, and our vision for Western Luxury.
